FAITH Presentation of the Gospel

What do you understand it takes for a person to go to Heaven?

An acrostic of the word FAITH explains how you can become a Christian.

F – Forgiveness - We must have God’s forgiveness to have eternal life and heaven.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins - Ephesians 1:7a (NIV)

A – Available - Forgiveness is Available for All.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16 (NIV)

I - Impossible - It is impossible for God to allow sin in heaven.

God Is:

Love
John 3:16

Just
For judgment is without mercy - James 2:13a (NKJV)

Man is Sinful
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, - Romans 3:23 (NIV)

Question: If God allows no sin in heaven, how can a sinful person enter heaven?

T – Turn

Question: If you are driving down the road and someone asked you to turn, what would they be asking you to do? (change direction)

Turn means repent.

TURN from something – sin and self

But unless you repent, you too will all perish. - Luke 13:3b (NIV)

TURN to Someone; trust Christ alone

Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures - 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4 (NIV)
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. – Romans 10:9 (NIV)

H - Heaven- Heaven is eternal life.

Here

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. – John 10:10b (NIV)

Hereafter

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. – John 14:3 (NIV)

How

How can a person have God’s forgiveness, heaven and eternal life, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord?

FAITH can also mean:

Forsaking
All
I
Trust
Him

We must simply trust Jesus as our Savior and ask him to save us.

Are you ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior?

If so, simply pray to God a prayer like the following:

Dear God,

I realize I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for my sins, was buried and rose again. I ask that you forgive me for my sins and live in my life as my Lord. Help me to follow you faithfully and trust you completely.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
